Police arrested the actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje of the ABC television series "Lost" early Saturday morning in Waikiki for a traffic violation.

Police arrested the actor, who plays Mr. Eko on "Lost," for disobeying a police officer and driving without a license.

Police records show the arrest was made after 2 a.m. on Kanekapolei Street and Kuhio Avenue.

The 39-year-old paid $500 bail and was released after spending a little more than six hours in jail.

He is the third "Lost" cast member to be arrested for traffic violations in Hawaii. In November 2004, Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros were arrested on drunken driving charges.

A judge gave Rodriguez the choice between five days in jail and 240 hours of community service. The actress chose to go to jail.

Watros pleaded guilty in January. Because Watros had no prior criminal record, the judge sentenced Watros to 14 hours of substance abuse counseling and ordered her to pay more than $500 in fines and fees.
