"SummerSlam" already? Kids, time flies fast. Pretty soon, you little creeps will be back in school -- throwing erasers at your teachers. Hopefully you got a good dose of 'rasslin Sunday night, courtesy WWE.

If you're not familiar with this column, for each PPV I explain what I think "should" happen if I were running the show, and then what "will" happen as I try to guess how the writers will steer the sports entertainers. After the show is over, I add a line on what "did" happen so you can marvel at my accuracy.

OK, enough of that. Let's get to the show:

ECW Title Match: Big Show (c) vs. Sabu
What Should Happen: I'm not to thrilled with the ECW product. It just seems kind of stale. Here, I think Sabu should win. Big Show seems out of place as the champ.

What Will Happen: I'm going with Sabu with the upset victory.

What Did Happen: Big Show took it to retain.

Challenge Match: Triple H and Shawn Michaels vs. Shane and Vince McMahon
What Should Happen: D-Generation X takes on the brain trust. Umaga is the likely choice to help save Vince and his boy, but I hope DX counters with the Boogeyman.

What Will Happen: DX will win.

What Did Happen: Vince and Shaun threw Umaga (and everyone else backstage) at DX, but they countered with Kane. Eventually, DX won it.

Challenge Match: Randy Orton vs. Hulk Hogan
What Should Happen: It's legend versus legend killer. A sane person would think the much younger Orton would handle the Hulkster pretty easily. But since Hogan is in charge of booking this match, that won't happen.

What Will Happen: I'm picking Hogan to win. Why else would he do one match a year unless he's going to look good?

What Did Happen: Hogan won it with his formula leg drop.

'I Quit' Match: Mick Foley vs. Ric Flair
What Should Happen: This is the sole reason I'm buying this show. Both perfomers are well past their prime, but there are very few wrestlers who know how to tell a story a ring better than these two. Expect greatness, and that means a Flair victory. He doesn't need to be a star-maker here, but will try anyway. That's your great Ric Flair, the man who deserves to have one more title victory before he retires for good.

What Will Happen: A very bloody Foley will utter "I quit."

What Did Happen: Worth the price of admission. A very bloody Foley quit as Flair was threatening Melina with violence.

Challenge Match: Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero
What Should Happen: It's the battle over who is worthy to invoke the memory of the late Eddie Guerrero. Strange, and perhaps a bit sleazy -- especially with Eddie's widow involved. McMahon's team of writers can do better. As for the match, I think Vicki should interfere on Chavo's behalf, betraying Rey.

What Will Happen: Chavo will win, only because he rarely wins a big-time match. Maybe that's what this is really all about backstage.

What Did Happen: Chavo won it, after Vicki got in Rey's face.

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Booker T vs. Batista
What Should Happen: I have to think it's way too early for Booker to drop the belt he's waited for too long to win. There's no way I would have him lose this match. But then again, it seems McMahon is in love with Batista.

What Will Happen: I'm going with Booker T to retain.

What Will Happen: Booker retained, as Batista only won by DQ. In my book, that's the same as calling this one right.

WWE Championship Match: Edge (c) vs. John Cena
What Should Happen: Edge, a smarmy chicken-heel type, is doing fine with the belt. Just like Booker, I'd keep it on him for a while longer to see what he can do with it.

What Will Happen: Edge retains.

What Did Happen: Edge was handed some brass knuckles, popped Cena, and won the match.

That'll do it. As usual, my greatness sparkles in the big ones. Six right, one wrong. Another textbook example of why I'm the squared-circle savant, kids. Whether you like it -- or don't like it -- learn to live with it. Wooooooooooo!
