Listen up!Class is in session.Last night, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling returned to pay-per-view action in sunny Orlando, Fla. The card looked great on paper, and the TNA crew delivered with a great show. But that's still not the big news. The bombshell is that TNA will get a Thursday night prime-time slot on Spike TV starting April 13. That's huge for a company that has done a great job building itself to become the No. 2 promotion in the land next to the mighty Vince McMahon and his WWE juggernaut.Do yourself a favor and give TNA a try if you haven't already. Right now, the one-hour TNA "Impact!" show airs on Saturday nights at 11 p.m. EDT on Spike. OK, enough preaching, let's get to Sunday's big matches!Falls Count Anywhere In Universal Studios Match: Rhino vs. Abyss
What Should Happen: Uh, haven't we seen this before? Well, maybe not in this theme park format (TNA tapes its shows at Universal), but Rhino and Abyss are quite familiar with each other. If I were writing the script, I'd let this one go at least 30 minutes. Make it a classic bleeder, with the bizarre Abyss getting the pinfall over the man-beast Rhino. And since it's a "Falls Count Anywhere In Universal Studios" extravaganza, let's see these two cover some serious ground outside. There's no reason it can't be fun.
What Will Happen: Abyss will win, perhaps on the Revenge of the Mummy attraction.
What Did Happen: Rhino won a bleeder (and it was fun to watch), despite getting nailed in the forehead with a staple gun. Note to TNA: if you're not going to explore the theme park -- don't advertise the match as "Falls Count Anywhere in Universal Studios."
Tag Team Match: Team 3-D vs. Team Canada
What Should Happen: In a match the fans wanted, Team 3-D (the former Dudley Boyz) should take this one against the hated Canadians. I see a big TNA push for Brothers Ray and Devon in the near future. What Will Happen: I think the babyfaces will win cleanly.
What Did Happen: 3-D took it, beating Canadians Eric Young and Bobby Roode.
Tag Team Match: The James Gang vs. Latin American Exchange
What Should Happen: The James Gang (the former New Age Outlaws), should prevail in this match. Kip needs a new haircut, though. He looks downright doofy.
What Will Happen: The former Billy Gunn and the former Road Dogg will take it.
What Did Happen: Pinfall to James Gang.
NWA Tag Team Title Match: America's Most Wanted (c) vs. Chris Sabin and Sanjay Dutt.
What Should Happen: Sabin and Dutt won a tag team tournament on "Impact!" to get here, but Sabin was hurt in the match. I'm not sure if he's going to make it to the live PPV. At any rate, AMW (James Storm and Chris Harris) does the drunken cowboy heel bit pretty well, and they're really talented in the ring. If I were booking things, they'd stay on top for now.
What Will Happen: AMW keeps the belts for a bit longer. A title switch -- probably to Team 3-D or The James Gang -- will come in time for the April prime-time TV switch to Thursday nights.
What Did Happen: The popular (and fantastic) Dutt got pinned, AMW retained.
X-Division Title Match: Samoa Joe (c) vs. A.J. Styles vs. Christopher Daniels
What Should Happen: For the first time in TNA history, the writers finally give their X-Division stars a bit of depth. Some say if these guys don't get better storylines, the promotion won't be a serious contender to WWE. I agree with that simply for the fact that the X-Division offers red-hot action by some of the best grapplers on the planet. Giving me a reason to care what happens to them is a huge bonus, and way overdue. In this match, Styles is really the only true babyface, with Daniels and Joe playing the heels. If it were up to me, I'd put the belt on Daniels. That way a heel is still in charge, and it would shock the crowd. He's the underdog here.
What Will Happen: I'll stick with my Daniels pick. There has to be an upset on a show called "Against All Odds." Having it happen in the X-Division is the safest bet.
What Did Happen: No upset here, but it was a classic. Joe retained his belt by pinning Styles. Worth the price of the PPV alone.
NWA World Heavyweight Title Match: Jeff Jarrett (c) vs. Christian Cage
What Should Happen: Jarrett (who started TNA with his father) is the champion. On the eve of a big timeslot switch -- combined with the recent signing of Steve "Sting" Borden (don't worry, his "quitting" TNA is just a storyline) -- TNA almost has to keep the belt on Jeff. You want to show new audiences (the additional draws on Thursday night) that you have name talent. Christian, who came into the promotion from WWE a few months ago as a babyface, should slowly turn heel -- jealous that guys like Sting can come in an steal his thunder. So for now, I think Jarrett should win. It just makes more sense for the immediate future.
What Will Happen: Jarrett will take it. Christian may get the belt later, but not now.
What Did Happen: Hats off to TNA. There was a upset after all, with Christian winning the NWA title.
That'll do it. For the night, three-for-six in my picks -- not too bad. Again, make sure you watch the "Impact!" show Saturday night on Spike TV if you haven't seen TNA yet. It'll be worth your while. Now scram!Class dismissed!(Professor Wrestling is a masked employee of Internet Broadcasting. Like the rest of humanity, he did not watch the Pro Bowl.)
