There's this real-life hottie named Adam Scott who's a pro golfer on the PGA tour. And he's very nearly, but not quite as, delish as superstar pro golfer Jesse Chapman -- the good-looking, bad boy hero of Linda Francis Lee's "Suddenly Sexy."

Jesse returns to his Texas hometown to get away from a potential media fiasco and runs smack dab into sweet n' sexy Katie Bloom, the all-grown-up little-girl-next-door.

Katie's a successful television news anchor and her ducks are all in a row. Until Jesse turns up like the knight-in-shining-armor he'd been when they were kids.

Katie's determined to have Jesse want her the way he does the centerfold types he's famous for loving then leaving. Instead, he frustrates Kate by running hot, then cold, then just plain away.

Lee's onto something here -- she writes well and draws us in with characters we care about and a charming storyline with a real, contemporary feel.

And, Lee writes love scenes the way they were meant to be written: Emotion drives the passion, not choreography. Still, the imagery she creates ain't too shabby.

Best part? You don't have to wait for the sequels!
