It's Monday morning, time to check out my "Unforgiven" predictions from Friday. So how did last night's pay-per-view featuring the "RAW" crew play out?

Enough preamble. Let's get to it!

Chris Benoit and William Regal vs. Ric Flair and Batista
What Will Happen: Evolution wins, but not before Benoit and Regal dominate the action. Benoit needs to remain a main player, so as to not taint his title run.

What Did Happen: The great Ric Flair tapped out from a Crippler Crossface. I don't know about you, but Nature Boy's legacy is being watered down by his current in-ring jobber role. He needs to be a manager only, and return to total greatness.

Christian vs. Jericho for the Intercontinental Title
What Will Happen: I see Edge interfering somehow, costing Jericho the victory. The reunion of Edge and Christian as heels would be nice, especially in the tag team-depleted WWE.

What Did Happen: Jericho grabbed the belt and got a visit backstage from Edge -- who said he's ready to take back what's his.

La Resistance vs. Tajiri and Rhyno for the WWE Tag Team Championship
What Will Happen: La Resistance will lose the belts cleanly, with Rhyno getting the pin.

What Did Happen: Tajiri and Rhyno should have run these no- talent bums out of the business. But it didn't happen., the faux-Frenchmen -- who have no pizzazz whatsoever -- won cleanly. The WWE tag team division is awful.

Kane vs. Shawn Michaels
What Will Happen: Michaels will pin Kane cleanly for the win.

What Did Happen: Michaels hit Kane with a superkick for the win, in what became a no DQ match.

Trish Stratus vs. Victoria
What Will Happen: Trish wins easily to set up a series of championship matches between her and Lita.

What Did Happen: Trish won, but Lita wasn't a factor. Believe me, though -- the Trish/Lita series is in the works.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs. Randy Orton for the WWE World Championship
What Will Happen: Orton will retain the belt, most likely by a Hunter/Evolution DQ. Look for Orton to get pummeled again afterward.

What Did Happen: Evolution interfered late in the match when the ref went down. HHH eventually got the pin and the belt.

Well, I was 2-6 in my predictions, batting .333. In baseball, that gets me into the Hall of Fame. In this forum, not the greatest, to tell you the truth. No excuses! (Although I am a bit cranky.)
