Hundreds of Hawaii fans turned out Thursday night for the first showings of "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."

Fans started lining up for the midnight showing Thursday afternoon at the Ward Theaters.

The latest movie version of the popular vampire romance book series got out at 2:30 a.m. Friday. Everyone KITV spoke with raved about it.

"It was so awesome. It was so much better than the first one. A lot more action and suspense and Jeremy Lotner got a lot more cuter," fan Devon Hoering said.

"It followed the book pretty well and they skipped a lot, but it worked in the end. I think," Desiray Madrid said.

The film is expected to be a blockbuster this holiday season. The first movie made just under $400 million at the box office.
