Joe, Angle, Steiner In 3-Way Dance

Listen up!

Class is in session.

Another pay-per-view is in the books for Total Nonstop Action wrestling, as it held "Sacrifice" in Orlando Sunday night. The main event was a three-way affair, pitting champ Samoa Joe against Kurt Angle and Scott Steiner. The results of that one is below. But first, the rest of the card:

Deuces Wild Tag Team Tournament
What Should Happen: In this series of matches, four established tag teams (LAX, Team 3D, Cage/ Rhino and Styles/Super Eric) are entered into a contest with four slapped-together teams made up of singles wrestlers (Sting, Booker T, Robert Roode, James Storm, Matt Morgan, Kip James, BG James and TNA Women's Champion Awesome Kong). If it were up to me, I wouldn't have Kong in the tournament. She should be doing what she can to make the women's division better. But this is overly-gimmicked TNA, and she'll probably be one-half of the tag champs when the dust settles.

What Will Happen: I'm picking LAX to win the entire tournament.

What Did Happen: It was LAX and Team 3D in the finals, with LAX grabbing the belts.

TNA Knockout Battle Royal
What Should Happen: In this gimmick match, the final two contestants battle for a briefcase above the ring. The winner gets a shot at the women's champ. The loser gets her head shaved. In the mix: Gail Kim, ODB, Salinas, Roxxi Laveaux, Traci Brooks, Jacqueline, Rhaka Khan, Angelina Love, Velvet Sky and Christy Hemme. Kim should win. Burly ODB should get a haircut.

What Will Happen: Gail Kim tops ODB for the title shot.

What Did Happen: Gail Kim topped Roxxi Laveaux for the No. 1 contender slot.

TNA Terror Dome Match
What Should Happen: In this gimmick match (am I repeating myself?), X-Division stars Jay Lethal, Curry Man, Kaz, Alex Shelley, Jimmy Rave, Chris Sabin, Johnny Devine, Shark Boy, Sonjay Dutt and Consequences Creed have a battle royal inside a rounded steel cage. The winner -- who has to escape from a hole at the top of the dome -- gets a shot at X-Division champ Petey Williams. I'm guessing TNA will play it safe and go with Chris Sabin, and I don't think that's a bad choice. He's clearly one of the best in this division, perhaps second in talent only to Williams.

What Will Happen: Chris Sabin will take it.

What Did Happen: Kaz was the victor, climbing out of the rounded cage first.

TNA World Championship Match: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Kurt Angle vs. Scott Steiner
What Should Happen: The suddenly too-flabby Samoa Joe (it's true) won the title at the last TNA PPV. He's not losing it here. That would be idiotic. But for some weird reason, I wouldn't mind if Steiner held this belt for a while. Big Poppa Pump is still pretty entertaining in small doses.

What Will Happen: The lock of the night. Samoa Joe will win.

What Did Happen: Kaz replaced an injured Kurt Angle in this match. In the end, Samoa Joe won.

That's it. My "Sacrifice" picks. As usual, I nailed it -- picking the winners of three of four events, including the big one. It's good to be me.

Class is dismissed!
