5. What's the deal with the four-toed statue we briefly saw earlier this season? Will it surface again, perhaps in relation to the "temple" Ben mentioned in the season finale? We learned about the indigenous "hostiles" and the DHARMA Initiative, but it's obvious the island's history goes much, much further back.4. The numbers: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. They were everywhere in season one and pivotal in season two. In season three, though, they seemed to have ceded several scenes and clues to other numerals. Will they be back? Will they ever be explained?3. Where and when will season four begin? Will the story be picked up back on the island with Jack and friends expecting rescue? Or will we find ourselves in the present, with island scenes suddenly becoming the flashbacks?2. Who is Jacob? He's not really there, but special people -- Ben and now Locke -- can hear and see him. He cried out for Locke's help, yet he's someone most of the Others fear and follow.1. Who does Naomi work for? Before Charlie dies, he makes contact with Penny, and we discover Penny is not behind the off-shore freighter that's supposed to be rescuing our survivors. Yet, she did appear with a photo of Desmond. Who else would be looking for him and looking for the island? Penny's all-powerful father, perhaps?
