NCAA Game Summary - Central Michigan At Western Michigan

Kalamazoo, MI -- (Sports Network) - Jordan Bitzer scored 19 points to lead the Central Michigan Chippewas to a 71-68 win over the Western Michigan Broncos in a Mid-American Conference tilt at University Arena. CMU (11-18, 7-9 MAC) also received 16 points and 13 rebounds from Marcus Van, while Robbie Harman and Jeremy Allen chipped in with 12 and 10 points, respectively. The Broncos (10-20, 7-9) were paced by David Kool who scored 21 points on 6- of-13 shooting from the floor. Andre Ricks added 15 points in a losing effort. WMU got off to a fast start, shooting 47.4 percent from the field in the first half, to take a 29-23 lead at the break. The Chippewas stormed back in the second stanza, knocking down 7-of-11 three- point attempts, en route to the three-point victory. Three-point shooting proved to be the difference in this contest, as CMU outscored the Broncos 30-21 from long distance.
