Reno, NV -- (Sports Network) - Brandon Fields exploded for 20 points as the Nevada Wolf Pack cruised to an 89-66 romp over the San Jose State Spartans in a Western Athletic Conference contest.

Luke Babbitt added 19 points for Nevada (18-11, 10-5 WAC).

C.J. Webster racked up 22 points and 12 rebounds in the lopsided loss for San Jose State (13-15, 6-9).

Nevada led 39-31 at intermission, and while San Jose State did cut its deficit to 41-39 early in the second half, the Wolf Pack took control and cruised to the win.

Strong defense was the most obvious key to victory for Nevada, as it held San Jose State to 36.4 percent field goal efficiency in the tilt.

Nevada earned a 41-36 rebounding edge as well and finished with 13 more assists than the opposition.
