Malibu, CA -- (Sports Network) - Freshman guard Peter Smith poured in a career- high 21 points to lead the San Francisco Dons to a 70-62 victory over the Pepperdine Waves in West Coast Conference action. Dior Lowhorn added 16 points and 10 rebounds for San Francisco (11-18, 3-11 WCC). Keion Bell scored 18 points in defeat for Pepperdine (8-22, 5-9), while Lorne Jackson added 11 points. San Francisco led 27-20 at intermission after limiting Pepperdine to 24.1 percent shooting from the floor in the first half. The Dons saw their lead shrink to one point in the second half but showed a great deal of toughness to hold on for their first league road win. San Francisco shot 25-of-33 from the foul line in the tilt and limited Pepperdine to 37.7 percent shooting from the floor.
