Power Outage Suspends Pacific Game Against Northern Arizona

Flagstaff, AZ -- (Sports Network) - A power outage suspended the men's basketball game between Pacific and Northern Arizona Thursday night.Northern Arizona was ahead, 45-43, with 8:52 left in the second half when the lights went out in the Flagstaff area. After waiting 45 minutes, game officials decided to suspend the game until further notice. A decision on when the game will be completed is expected in the next few days. "It is unfortunate," said Northern Arizona coach Mike Adras. "It was a good game. It will be decided between the institutions. There is a lot of concern throughout the city of Flagstaff. I commend the officials for their actions." The power went out at 8:01 p.m. local time. Pacific led, 29-27, at halftime and took an 11-point lead with a 12-3 to start the half. But the Lumberjacks rallied to go ahead again before the power went out. Cameron Jones had 17 points, while Gabe Rogers added 10 for Northern Arizona before the game was stopped. Terrell Smith had 11 points to lead Pacific.
