Wilkinson had six points, including the final layup just over six minutes into the game. Wilkinson soon made it a 21-4 game at the midway point of the first half, but Nevada responded with 11 consecutive points to close the gap. The Aggies led, 28-23, at halftime. Utah State scored 14 of the second half's first 20 points, and a Wilkinson jumper with 13:14 left made it 42-29.
