Reno, NV -- (Sports Network) - Armon Johnson dropped in 24 points, as the second- seeded Nevada Wolf Pack came away with a 77-68 victory over the sixth-seeded Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in the semifinals of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament at Lawlor Events Center. Johnson added six boards and six assists for Nevada (21-11), which will meet top-seeded Utah State on Saturday in a rematch of the 2006 championship game. Luke Babbitt also had a big night for the Wolf Pack, finishing with 23 points and six rebounds. Kyle Gibson paced the Bulldogs (15-18) in defeat with a game-high 25 points, while Magnum Rolle turned in 24 points and five rebounds in the losing effort. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 35-31 halftime lead courtesy of 55.6 percent shooting from the floor over the first 20 minutes. Nevada opened the second half with an 11-2 spurt and then used a late 12-1 run claim the nine-point win. Nevada hit on 55.6 percent of its tries from the floor and 6-of-14 from beyond the arc on the night.
