NCAA Game Summary - Clemson At Liberty

Lynchburg, VA -- (Sports Network) - David Potter scored 17 points, as 22nd-ranked Clemson used a balanced attack to rout Liberty, 79-39, in a road contest at the Vines Center. Trevor Booker finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Demontez Stitt added nine points and six assists for the Tigers (2-0), who routed Presbyterian in their opener on Friday. Jesse Sanders had seven points to lead Liberty (1-2), which was coming off a 36-point win over Southern Virginia on Saturday. Tyler Baker and Johnny Stephene each had six points in the loss. Clemson scored the game's first six points and never looked back, as it was the start of a 17-1 run to begin the contest. Potter capped the burst with back-to-back three-pointers. The Flames cracked double-digits when Carter McMasters dunked just past the midway point of the first half, making it a 24-10 game. But Clemson continued to pull away, and Devin Booker's free throw in the final minute gave the Tigers a 42-19 cushion at the break. Clemson opened the second half with three layups -- two from Tanner Smith -- and cruised the rest of the way.Game Notes:Clemson made 48.5 percent of its shots, while Liberty shot 30.4 percent from the field (14-of-46)...The Tigers play at UNC-Greensboro on Friday, while the Flames host Old Dominion on Thursday.
