NCAA Game Summary - Lamar Vs. Ohio University

Louisville, KY -- (Sports Network) - Tristan Worrell dropped in 21 points and grabbed six rebounds to power the Lamar Cardinals past the Ohio University Bobcats, 76-67, as part of the Marques Maybin Classic at Freedom Hall in Louisville. Kenny Dawkins added 19 points and five rebounds for Lamar (6-1), while Brandon McThay posted 18 points. Jay Brown scored nine points and pulled down 12 caroms in the win. Jerome Tillman led the way for Ohio (3-2) with a game-best 25 points and six boards. Justin Orr turned in 19 points, and Michael Allen had 10 in the losing effort. Lamar shot 50.0 percent from the field in the opening frame and it took a 36-32 lead to the break. In the second half, the Cardinals converted 18-of-22 free-throw attempts, as they captured the nine-point victory. Lamar dominated the boards, 40-27, and that helped to compensate for its 16 turnovers.
