Ogden, UT -- (Sports Network) - Andre Murray scored a game-high 21 points and pulled down seven rebounds to help lead the Portland State Vikings to a 61-53 win over the Idaho State Bengals in the semifinals of the Big Sky Conference Tournament at the Dee Events Center. Also scoring in double figures for the second-seeded Vikings (22-9) were Phil Nelson and Jeremiah Dominguez with 14 and 10 points, respectively. PSU turned up the defense on the Bengals in the first half, holding ISU to just 29.2 percent from the floor en route to a 42-23 score at the break. In the second half the Vikings were the ones who suffered poor accuracy from the floor, converting a mere five field goals, allowing Idaho State to close the gap, but not enough to complete the comeback bid. The Bengals finished the night missing all 13 of their three-point attempts and turned the ball over 14 times. With the victory the Vikings are now set to defend their tournament title against Montana State on Wednesday night.
