POSTED: 9:10 pm HST February 28, 2009

(Sports Network) - Jamie Jones tallied a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Portland State Vikings to a 66-62 overtime victory over the Eastern Washington Eagles in Big Sky Conference action at Reese Court.

Dominic Waters added 13 points and five assists for Portland State (21-9, 11-5 BigSky), while Jeremiah Dominguez also tallied 13 points.

Brandon Moore posted a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds for EWU (12-17, 6-10), while Benny Valentine chipped in with 11 points.

The Vikings went into the locker room with a 36-27 lead, thanks to a 53.8 percent shooting effort, which included a 5-of-10 clip from long range.

However, Portland State ran cold in the second stanza, and the Eagles capitalized soaring back to tie the game at 56-56, sending the matchup into overtime.

The Vikings were able to bounce back in the extra session, netting 6-of-8 attempts from the charity stripe, en route to the four-point win.

The Vikings are now tied for second place in the Big Sky standings with Montana State. If Montana State falls on Sunday against Northern Colorado Portland State would earn the second seed in the conference tournament and a first round bye.
