Reno, NV -- (Sports Network) - Luke Babbitt scored a career-high 30 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the second-seeded Nevada Wolf Pack to a 78-69 win over the seventh-seeded San Jose State Spartans in quarterfinal round action of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament. Malik Cooke also added 16 points for the Wolf Pack (20-11), while Armon Johnson checked in with 14 points. DaShawn Wright led the way for the Spartans (13-17), netting 22 points on 8- of-11 shooting from the floor. C.J. Webster also got involved by totaling 14 points, while Adrian Oliver chipped in with 12 points. Nevada jumped out to an early lead, shooting 13-of-26 from the floor in the first half, to take a 37-31 lead at the break. The Wolf Pack pulled away in the second stanza, knocking down 11-of-16 free- throw attempts en route to a nine-point win. Three-point shooting proved to be the difference in this contest, as Nevada outscored the Spartans 18-6 from long distance. With the win, Nevada moves on to Friday's semifinals to face Louisiana Tech.
