    AUSTRALIA - Two shark attacks reported within 24 hours. A 46-year-old woman was bitten at Cid Harbor, a popular tourist area in Queensland. Less than a day later a 12-year-old girl was bitten on the leg at the same Harbor. Medical Staff say, the girl suffered significant blood loss and serious injuries. Metro Manila's mayor is cancelling classes as a precaution because police expect demonstrations to be massive. Activist groups plan on holding an anti-dictatorship rally to protest tyranny and the government's drug war. Student and human rights groups are also expected to join.

    A drying trend will roll in on the trade winds today and into the weekend. Winds from the East 10-15 MPH some areas can see 20 MPH and showers will focus over windward and mountain areas. Mostly sunny skies are expected today with the day time high 87-91 degrees.  Surf for East shores 4-6', South 2-4', West 1-3' and North flat-2'.  A system of low pressure build on the west of the state and will cause a shift in our winds and humid conditions as early as Sunday.

The leeward side could see a few isolated showers in the afternoon because high temperatures in the upper 80s and lighter winds will create sea breeze patterns. Humidity will build Wednesday/Thursday as a trough of low pressure passes through the state Wednesday into Thursday. Surf: East 2-4', South 3-5', West 1-3' and North 2-4'.

With our city ranking first in festivities per capita and most acres of parks per capita. New York came in third, Orlando slides second, and Las Vegas, also known as the ninth island, tops the charts at number one.

    WAIKIKI -  The Waikiki Shell has been renamed to the Tom Moffatt Waikiki Shell honoring the long time concert promoter and his contributions to the Hawaii music industry.  The dedication ceremony took place on Sunday. Moffatt died in December of last year at the age of 85.

    KAILUA - 17-year-old Jake of Kailua was born with an endocrine disorder and is wheelchair bound. He lives just five minutes from the beach but rarely gets the chance to go because of his disorder. Reyn Spooner teamed up with Make-a-Wish-Hawaii to help make Jake's dream come true by presenting him with all-terrain wheels. It allows Jake to hit the beach and enjoy every minute of it with his friends and family.

    KANEOHE - The Hawaii Department of Health is advising the public to stay out of the waters of Kawa Stream near Castle High School.

    Sunday afternoon 500 gallons of wastewater entered a man hole in the area  which flows into the stream. The spill stopped about 20 minutes later and the area was disinfected but warning signs are still posted.

    Wellness Wednesday has some sleep tips with Dr. Shanon Makekau, Chief of Pulmonary and Sleep at Kaiser Permanente Hawaii.  Adults who get less than the recommended 7-9 hours of continuous sleep per night are at a higher risk for obesity, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, depression, anxiety, and a weakened immune system.
