Honolulu police cuffed 20 year old Taylor Liang on Friday afternoon on a warrant in connection with a car crash in January that critically injured a top triathlete. He's accused of hitting 33-year-old Lectie Altman on Tantalus Drive while she was bicycling and he was racing his car. He's out on $25,000 bail, but heads to court on Thursday, October 25, for charges of negligent injury.

Honolulu Fire Department respond to an incident on Kumuhau Street in Waimanalo

Firefighters responded to a man who was clearing bushes alongside Kumuhau Street in Waimanalo when he underestimated a ditch.  The man's backhoe fell into the gutter with one witness, who helped to dig the backhoe out. Honolulu Fire Department deployed 14 firefighters and 4 units to the scene of the incident. There were no injuries reported.
