    The man involved in a deadly beating in 2017 in Mililani pleaded not guilty to manslaughter Monday. 25-year-old Shane Dilwith is charged with the death of 51-year-old Thomas Morikawa. According to prosecutors Dilwith beat Morikawa outside of Jungle Juice in December 2017 before fleeing to Arizona where he was arrested in May.

    John Hubbard pled not guilty in two felony charges in U.S. District Court Monday. The 61-year-old is accused of using a handgun to threaten a group of people in Leilani Estates in June during the volcanic eruption. He allegedly fired several shots at them.  Hubbard's trial is scheduled for November 20.

    A rare discovery was made in Northern Virginia this month when a two-headed baby copperhead slithered in the yard of a resident. The unnamed person who found the snake contacted the Virginia Herpetological Society for identification and a state herpetologist picked it up to study. "Wild bicephalic snakes are exceptionally rare, because they just don't live that long," J.D. Kleopfer of the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries posted on Facebook on Thursday.

    A hiker missing since Tuesday was found dead Friday morning on a hill side on Moloka'i. 27-year-old Stephen Kramar's body was located about a half mile from the Wavecrest resort. He'd been staying there for his honeymoon when he left for a solo hike on Tuesday morning and never returned. An autopsy will be performed to determine his cause of death.

    A Hawaii man wanted in connection with a deadly beating in Mililani last  year was extradited from Arizona Thursday. 25-year-old Shane Dilwith is charged with manslaughter in the death of 51-year-old Thomas Morikawa. Police say Dilwith assaulted Morikawa outside the Jungle Juice Market, and Morikawa died one week later. Dilwith was arrested in Arizona in May and he is now being held on $150,000 dollars bail.

    A 71-year-old male pedestrian is in critical condition Tuesday night after being involved in a collision at the intersection of Victoria Street and Young Street. Emergency Medical Services treated and transported the patient to an emergency room.  This story will be updated.

    A 55-year-old woman was found dead near the Kapolei Walmart Tuesday evening. Emergency Medical Service reported that a pedestrian was found dead at 91-600 Farrington Highway at 7:39 p.m. Tuesday.  Police are still investigating at the scene.

    HONOLULU -  Honolulu police and crime-stoppers are asking for help in finding a teenager. 16-year-old Jessica Rothstein was reported as a runaway in February of  2017.  She's described as 5'3", black hair and brown eyes, and weighs about 105 pounds.   If you have information that could help police you're asked to call 955-8300 or star-crime on your cellular phone.

With our city ranking first in festivities per capita and most acres of parks per capita. New York came in third, Orlando slides second, and Las Vegas, also known as the ninth island, tops the charts at number one.

    WAIKIKI -  The Waikiki Shell has been renamed to the Tom Moffatt Waikiki Shell honoring the long time concert promoter and his contributions to the Hawaii music industry.  The dedication ceremony took place on Sunday. Moffatt died in December of last year at the age of 85.

He lives just five minutes from the beach but rarely gets the chance to go because of his disorder. Reyn Spooner teamed up with Make-a-Wish-Hawaii to help make Jake's dream come true by presenting him with all-terrain wheels. It allows Jake to hit the beach and enjoy every minute of it with his friends and family.
