Annual Thanksgiving feasts at five Hawaii hotels have been canceled due to the ongoing strike.   A spokesperson for the Marriott-managed properties told KITV4 limited staff at the Kai Market at the Sheraton Waikiki, Azure at The Royal Hawaiian, Beachhouse at the Moana Surfrider, Pikake Terrace at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani, and ROCKsalt at Sheraton Maui means diners who made reservations will have to look for meals elsewhere.

Honolulu firefighters responded to a Waikiki high rise fire at 10:51 p.m. Friday.  Firefighters arrived at 10:54 p.m. to find a 38-story residential structure with no signs of smoke or fire on the exterior of the building. Two people hospitalized after motorcycle crash on H-1

Lanes are back open after a motorcycle crash on the H-1 near the Middle street overpass Friday night closed down lanes and sent two people to the hospital in serious condition. Police say a 60-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman were traveling west when the driver lost control and crashed.  Both riders were thrown to the other side of the freeway. No word on their updated conditions.

Traffic was a mess in Kapaa, Kauai Friday after a police chase ended in a car crash. Kauai Police were trying to pull over a vehicle that had been reported stolen when the driver took off and crashed into a utility pole on Kuhio Highway. The driver, 19-year-old Adrian Arrisgado, was arrested for unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle. Three passengers were also arrested but released pending investigation. The road was reopened around two Friday afternoon.

Crews were spotted filming the movie "Godzilla Vs. Kong" at the Lanai Lookout on Oahu's on Friday. The Department of Business Economic Development and Tourism says filming's expected to continue through December. An average of 300 local jobs are usually created for production of this size. Hawaii's hosted nine feature films in 2018 including two television series.

New mobile shower unit dedicated on Big Island

A new mobile shower unit was dedicated on the Big Island on Friday. The $75,000 trailer has three private bathrooms stalls each with a shower and toilet, as well as one diaper changing table. All made possible by donations raised at Puuhonua o Puna during the Kilauea eruption earlier this year as well as from other community partners.  The mobile unit will focus primarily on ongoing and future disaster relief efforts. It will also be deployed to help the homeless.

Honolulu Police have arrested a juvenile for second-degree animal cruelty after a cat was found shot with an arrow on Plum Street in Wahiawa on Tuesday. The Hawaiian Humane Society posted flyers in the area warning cat owners to keep their felines indoors, supervise them closely if they are let outdoors, and make sure they wear an ID tag and microchip.

New hope is being offered for Hawaii's youth suffering from mental health issues. OnTrack Hawaii is a program through the University of Hawaii at Manoa's Burns School of Medicine. The program offers specialty care treatment for people aged 15 to 24 who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis, that could include among other symptoms: hallucinations, paranoia, and disorganized thinking.
