Washington: Cash For Appliances Rebate Program

Washington's State Energy Efficiency Appliance Rebate Program, popularly known as "Cash for Appliances," is now under way.
Under the program, Washington residents who buy new, energy efficient appliances are eligible for rebates.
Washington’s program, which began March 15, offers rebates for the following appliances:
Washingtonwill receive about $6.3 million of the nearly $300 million in stimulus funding available nationwide from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).For more information, visit the Washington Department of Commerce Web site or call 360-725-3113.
Under the program, Washington residents who buy new, energy efficient appliances are eligible for rebates.
Washington’s program, which began March 15, offers rebates for the following appliances:
- Refrigerators (must be 25 percent more efficient than the federal minimum standard) -- $75
- Clothes Washers (must have an efficiency rating MEF greater than 2.46) -- $100
