Bidders Find Good Deals

HONOLULU -

Property that at one time was associated with crime was up for sale to the highest bidder on Saturday.

Two- and four-wheeled vehicles were among the many items being auctioned.

The public auction was coordinated by the Attorney General's office.

The items were assets that were used in, or obtained from, the commission of a crime.

For the hundreds of bidders, it meant some good deals.

"Last year I came here, and that was the first time I came here, and it was just fantastic. You know, all these different things, and it was so cheap. You know, like half the price and stuff. So we thought we'd try it again. See if we can afford to buy anything," said Tom Eulitt, auction attendee.

Proceeds from the auction will be used in law enforcement efforts.
