"All the furniture and front lawn furniture is all over the place, and the twister came back here and collapsed an area which was an open covered patio," DeMello said.
Down the street, on Kuailima Drive residents were trying to clean up what the tornado left behind.
"The wind was kind of blowing, and it got intense and then it was over. There was this intense whoosh sound, and it lasted like ten seconds," said resident Wayne Giesbrecht.
Someone's camping equipment was lodged in his tree. Giesbrecht?s neighbor's lanai was damaged and two other trees in the area were also twisted away.
"I have seen poles pulled up off the ground and landing on cars. There is quite a bit of damage like we are seeing, roofs pulled back, kind of all the way up to Enchanted Lakes, ? Cantin said.
Cantin put it this way: ?All week Oahu has been dodging a bullet.? Friday morning it found a target.
