Crews began on Monday a new round of soil testing and utility relocation for the Honolulu Rail Transit project.
Starting Monday, crews will test areas along Farrington Highway in Waipahu.
From 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., the left lanes in both directions of Farrington Highway, between Leoku and Pupukahi streets will be closed so crews can relocate trees.
Overnight work will continue until Friday on the highway, between Kahualii Street and Aniani Place. They will be relocating utilities in that area and collecting soil samples along the shoulder of Farrington Highway at the H-1 and H-2 Freeway on- and off-ramps.
