Hawaiian Electric crews successfully restored power to affected customers just before 5 p.m. Sunday.
They have been working overnight to repair a utility pole that snapped after a car slammed into it near the intersection of Kuhio Avenue and Kapahulu Avenue.
It happened just before 11 p.m. Saturday night. No injuries were reported, but 65 customers are without power.
Workers have closed all lanes near the area. Only one lane on Kapahulu Ave. heading makai is open.
Extensive repairs are being made because telephone lines on the pole also need to be fixed.
