The Bishop Museum on Tuesday announced it will not hold its popular Halloween Treat Street event this year.
The organization said the event is not part of its role as an educational center.
"We regret that we are no longer offering this activity, however, as we begin to shift and align our programmatic focus this is a wonderful time to create new programs and events that will serve our community in an even greater capacity," Bishop Museum President and Chief Executive Officer Blair Collis said.
The museum hosted the Treat Street on Oct. 31 for 23 years.
