Honolulu police seized a 7-foot albino python from a home in Ewa on Friday.
The Honolulu Police Department's CrimeStoppers unit received a tip informing authorities about a snake at a particular residence. Police called the owners of the home, who turned it over to authorities.
The reptile is being turned over to the Hawaiian Humane Society, sources said. The Hawaiian Humane Society is a amnesty drop-off center.
Most reptiles are illegal in Hawaii.
On June 29, police seized two illegal lizards from a home in Halawa on a tip to CrimeStoppers.
Over the weekend, a Department of Land and Natural Resources officer helped pig hunters snag a 9-foot boa constrictor found slithering on a dirt road near the Waiawa Correctional Facility.
