Dick Allgire is an award winning, broadcast journalist with over 38 years experience as a reporter, anchor and producer.
Dick is an amazing story teller and he and KITV4 photographers, Stu Ishikawa and Hans Kolo, were honored in 2010 with the Mark Twain Award for Best Serious Feature reporting for their work on a multi-part series on Navy sailors who train to fight “pirates”.
Dick has been part of the KITV4 News team for 22 years.
He grew up in Salt Lake City and worked for nearly a decade at stations in Utah.
Dick is married to Mi Ok Choe (Mimi).When he’s not working Dick loves to play music, scuba dive and surf.
