Jodi Leong started her career in broadcast journalism at KITV4 in 1991 as an intern before moving on to produce, report and eventually anchor the state’s only weekend morning newscasts.
Jodi left KITV4 in 2000 to co-anchor the 6 & 10 p.m. news at KHNL. She rejoined KITV in December, 2005.
Jodi's career highlights include spending 24-hours aboard the naval submarine U.S.S. Honolulu, flying on an F-15 with the Hawaii Air National Guard, visiting the air craft carrier USS Carl Vinson, meeting various U.S. presidents, seeing President Barack Obama's inauguration in Washington D.C. and meeting dozens of amazing people across the state who have inspired her.
Jodi was born and raised in Hawaii. She graduated from Castle High School and earned degrees at Amherst College in Massachusetts and the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Jodi volunteers for the local theatre community and the Salvation Army and has been involved in the Society of Professional Journalists' annual Gridiron show for 12 years now.
Jodi serves on the board of directors for Ballet Hawaii and 24-7 Dance Force. She enjoys jazz and tap dance, traveling, theatre, kayaking, skiing and spending time with her 3-year-old daughter Caris.
